Job Summary

The Financial Accountant is responsible for running the accounting and financial activities of the organization with active involvement in posting and managing ledgers, supporting the management of the company’s fixed asset register, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. He/ She will also prepare monthly management accounts.

Experience and Qualification

• First degree in economics, accounting, or other numerate disciplines. A postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSC. in Finance) is desirable.
• Relevant professional qualifications (ACA, CIMA, CPA, ACCA). desirable 
• Minimum of four (4) years of finance experience.

Person Specification

• A person should possess an understanding of financial accounting and reporting requirements, particularly IFRS requirements
• Good understanding of tax reporting requirements particularly as regards allowable expenses; VAT, WHT, and remittance requirements
• Proficiency in the use of SAGE accounting software
• Very good data analysis skills and strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in the use of office productivity tools.
