There is a vacancy for a Junior Accountant in an Investment company in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records: invoices, bills, receipts, cheques, payment memos, etc.
• Petty cash management.
• Assist in preparing monthly tax and other statutory returns and remittances
• Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements
• Generate source document for all financial transactions; invoices, bills, receipts, cheques, payment memo, etc.
• Daily update of account payable and receivable.
• Inventory management and controls – regular stock counts, stock levels and material usage

The ideal candidate should possess the following:
• Bachelors/HND degree in Accounting or related discipline
• Membership of any of the professional accountancy certification such as ICAN/ACCA is an added advantage
• 2-3 years cognate work experience
• Completion of the 1 year National Youth Service Corps scheme (NYSC) is compulsory.
• Adequate knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and Nigerian Tax Laws
• Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Proficient with the use of numbers and figures.
